Ga is the language of the peoples of Accra in Ghana. Dangme is a closely related variant.

Towards the end of 2012, we decided to find out how quickly we could build resources for a language. We picked Ga and Dangme because they are closely related, and we could readily find speakers. In other words, given the enthusiasm of a language volunteer, how quickly could we set up their language with a keyboard, and a dictionary?

It turns out the answer was "pretty quickly." Within a month, we had a functional GaDangme keyboard and dictionary!

Writing Conventions of kasahorow Gadangme
kasahorow uses Modern Gadangme. Modern Gadangme is a simpler spelling system for writing all the Gadangme languages. Most notably, Modern Gadangme uses spaces to separate words belonging to different parts of speech. This makes it easier to read for new language learners.
